Corrine L. Guerra Mella
Corrine is the Founder and Executive Director of R.O.A.R., leading all programs, services, and community partnerships across the Okanagan and Gitxsan territories. She oversees outreach operations, transitional housing support, and direct frontline work with people experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, and substance use concerns—always grounded in compassionate, trauma-informed, culturally safe care.
With over 15 years of experience in peer navigation, harm reduction, and system navigation, Corrine has supported thousands of individuals in accessing detox, treatment, housing, cultural healing, and long-term stability. She has also spearheaded major community events, including leading the International Overdose Awareness Day Round Dance for two consecutive years.
A proud Gitxsan woman, Corrine leads through culture, ceremony, and lived experience, ensuring that R.O.A.R. remains Indigenous-led and rooted in healing for the next seven generations.

Roy W. Guerra Mella, MACP
Roy W. Guerra Mella is a Clinical Counsellor with over 21 years of experience in mental health, trauma work, and holistic Indigenous-aligned wellness. He holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and has extensive experience delivering workshops, training sessions, and supervising practicum and internship students across multiple disciplines.
Roy is known for his trauma-informed, holistic approach, working at the intersection where Evidence-Based Practice and Practice-Based Evidence meet—bringing together science, best practices, and traditional knowledge. His counselling philosophy is rooted in dignity, strength, and cultural worldview: every one of his clients is a hero, not a victim or tragedy.
His work supports emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual balance, helping individuals and families reclaim wellness through culturally respectful, clinically grounded care.

Harry Singh
Harry Singh supports ROAR’s operational development under the direction of the Founder and Executive Director. With a Master’s degree in Psychology and a Law degree, Harry assists with coordinating program logistics, maintaining administrative systems, and supporting community-based initiatives.
He brings experience working with individuals facing housing instability, mental health challenges, and substance use concerns, contributing to trauma-informed, client-centered operations. Harry’s role focuses on supporting the expansion and stability of ROAR’s programs while ensuring alignment with the organization’s Indigenous-led mission and leadership.
